Canal Day is a day filled with fun and excitement along the picturesque Schuylkill Canal Park. Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere as you indulge in delicious food, groove to live music, and explore a variety of activities for all ages.
Calling all young anglers! Don't miss the thrilling kids fishing derby, where children can cast their lines and test their fishing skills under the supervision of adults. The derby promises plenty of laughter, excitement, and the chance to catch some impressive fish.
For the little ones, there will be face painting stations where they can transform into their favorite characters or creatures. Watch their faces light up with joy as talented artists create colorful designs and bring their imaginations to life.
Sports enthusiasts will love the thrilling Sly Fox Can Jam tournament. Gather your team and compete in this exciting frisbee game that combines skill, strategy, and a whole lot of fun. Test your throwing accuracy and teamwork as you aim to be crowned the Can Jam champions.
As you explore the festivities, take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty of the surrounding area. The Schuylkill Canal Park offers stunning views and tranquil trails, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a refreshing bike ride.
Event parking is available at St. Michael's Park at the end of Jacobs Street in Mont Clare. A parking donation of $5 is requested to support the SCA and its efforts to preserve and enhance the canal.
